Instead of simply brewing up a hot cup of tea this winter season, why not twist things up a bit and make one of our fan favorite drinks, the tea latte?
The tea latte is actually super simple and requires very little ingredients.
If dairy doesn’t sit well with you, simply use a milk alternative such as almond or soy milk.
Let’s get started, shall we?
Step 1: Brew your tea
Add 2-3 teaspoons of your desired tea to 12-18oz of boiling water.
This step can be modified based on your personal preference for strength and how much tea you are planning to brew at the time.
Next, cover your tea with a lid or small saucer to steep for 5 minutes.

Step 2: Heat Your Milk
After steeping your tea, place your milk in either a pot or microwave-safe bowl or cup, and warm up.
The milk should be warm enough to match the preference of your latte.
Do not bring the milk to a boil.
Step 3: Combine Tea and Milk
This step will largely depend on your personal taste preference.
Generally, we like to combine 1/2 as much milk as tea.
So, if you use 1 cup of tea, simply add a 1/2 cup of milk.
Do not use all of your milk, as you will require some in the next step.
Step 4: Froth Your Milk
Now, use your frother to generate foam from your left-over milk.
Use a spoon to gather as much milk foam as you can, and place on top of your mixture of tea and milk.
Step 5: Caramelize Your Sugar
Lastly, sprinkle brown sugar on top of the frothed milk.
Then use your blow torch lighter, to caramelize the sugar on top.
Warm up with this delicious drink over the winter season!
